Our Mission:

Save lives by enabling critical communications for the world’s most important organizations.

Working from our San Francisco office, through partnership with design, engineering, and the business team you will ship products and features that enable critical operations for some of the highest impact teams in the world.

Working closely with cross functional and leadership stakeholders across the board, this is a high visibility role with the opportunity to have tremendous impact on the overall business. Expect lots of interesting challenges and a dynamic product development environment.

Location: San Francisco, CA

Clearance Requirement: U.S. Persons only (Citizens or Permanent Residents)

What You’ll Do

  • Own both product vision and the roadmap to execute from idea to production - define and articulate a clear compelling strategy for delivering best-in-class off-grid awareness to operators and their teams. Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and drafting detailed requirements to hands-on development and launch across a stack spanning hardware, firmware, mobile, web, and backend.

  • Embed with the GTM team to foster close collaboration and strong, continuous feedback loops from field deployment & experiences - including by traveling to key events, exercises, and kickoffs.

  • Be the voice of the customer, serving as a key conduit between end users and design & engineering to translate needs into actionable requirements.

  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with key customers and vendors in the defense, public safety, and off-grid ecosystem.

  • Own program execution for government-funded R&D initiatives with a focus on off grid communications - including timeline, milestone, and deliverable management in coordination with customer stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience managing product development in a startup environment.

  • Well-developed empathy for the challenges of task-loaded operators communicating in austere environments where seconds matter.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills paired with a strong bias to action.

  • Ability to create clarity from ambiguity - synthesize customer feedback and first-principles thinking into crisp priorities that align engineering, operations, product, GTM, and customers.

  • Technical fluency to partner with both customers and engineers in shaping deployment, development, and integration strategies.

  • Experience developing and executing proposals for US government-funded programs (SBIR, APFIT, CRADA, etc.) a strong plus.

What You’ll Love About Somewear

  • You’ll own mission-critical product development from concept to delivery.

  • You’ll have opportunities to meet customers and collaborate directly with some of the world’s most elite teams to solve their challenges.

  • You’ll have a leading hand in crafting end-to-end solutions that deliver tangible improvements to deployed operators, making them safer and more effective.

  • You’ll work with a high-caliber, driven team that builds fast and supports one another relentlessly.

  • You’ll directly support fielded systems used by military, emergency response, and public safety teams around the world.
