About Consensus:

Consensus is building the OS for research. Today, our search engine helps 8 million students, researchers, and doctors analyze scientific papers and complete literature reviews 10x faster.

Our Series A was led by USV in ‘24, with participation from top AI investors, including Nat Friedman and Daniel Gross. Consensus has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, The New York Times, and Nature, as one of today’s most exciting AI startups.

Our mission is to empower the world to understand, create, and apply good science. Help us build the future of research.

Role:

Your goal is simple: drive student adoption of Consensus across U.S. and Canadian campuses. You’ll build and scale our presence inside universities by running ambassador programs, forming partnerships with student groups, and hosting workshops + meetups on-campus.

This is a hands-on IC role. You’ll build programs from scratch, test them in the real world, figure out what moves the needle, and scale what works. Expect a mix of campus travel, community building, partnerships, and helping run experiments across our broader growth team.

Responsibilities

  • Form relationships with grad student unions, professional associations, student government groups, and relevant academic clubs
  • Build and run a full student ambassador program across key universities end to end (plan, recruit, train, measure)
  • Run student workshops, classroom demos, and research skills sessions with faculty and librarians
  • Test new ideas for reaching students (email flows, classroom inserts, referral loops, workshops, events, ambassador incentives, etc.)
  • Host on-campus meetups, tabling events, and partnerships with student clubs, grad associations, and research groups
  • Own logistics for campus travel, event planning, materials, and ambassador support
  • Work with tools like mixpanel and bigquery to measure the impact of your initiatives

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of experience in a fast-paced startup or similar high-velocity environment
  • Strong experience with community building, student programs, campus outreach, or event planning
  • Experience running programs end-to-end, not just taking a playbook and executing
  • High agency — you can figure things out quickly, learn new tools fast leveraging AI, and run with ideas
  • Comfortable traveling 1–2 times per month to universities across the U.S. and Canada during peak times, must be able to travel frequently to or within the US.
  • Some experience using data visualization tools like Mixpanel or data warehouses Bigquery to see data

Compensation:

  • $80-$120k base cash salary + performance-based compensation
  • Competitive Series A equity
