Role: Growth Engineer to design, build, and iterate on product features that drive activation, retention, and engagement across our AI-powered research platform.
Responsibilities:
- Ship growth-focused features and experiments like personalized queries, new paper recommendations, SEO experiments, and re-engagement emails that reduce time-to-first-search and bring users back.
- Own the full loop: build features, instrument funnels, run A/B tests, analyze impact, and collaborate with product/growth/design to prioritize the highest-ROI bets.
- Contribute to general full stack web app development for other parts of the core product.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience (ideally in startups or other fast-paced environments)
- Deep experience with Next.js, TypeScript, FastAPI, Python, Postgres, and common SaaS tools (auth, payments).
- Familiarity with our experimentation stack or similar services: MixPanel, StatSig
- Track record of high-velocity experimentation and delivery
- Sharp prioritization and focus on the high-leverage problems without overengineering
- Interest in the product and mission: science, research, education
Compensation:
- $160-$230k cash
- Competitive Series A equity
