About the Position
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience (or equivalent) in building scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate will excel in designing production-ready automation solutions, optimizing cloud and on-premises systems, and eliminating deployment bottlenecks through self-service capabilities. This role requires strong expertise in AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD systems, with proven ability to manage hybrid cloud environments and implement comprehensive security practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines for rapid deployment across AWS and on-premises environments
- Optimize existing infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency while maintaining high availability
- Manage comprehensive secrets, credentials, and access control systems for secure operations
- Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for infrastructure health visibility
- Develop automation tools and self-service capabilities to eliminate manual processes and deployment bottlenecks
- Implement infrastructure as code best practices and ensure environment parity across development and production
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enable multiple daily deployments while maintaining system reliability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related infrastructure engineering roles
- Strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, automation, security practices, and system administration
- Proven experience with AWS services, Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to manage hybrid cloud environments and optimize infrastructure for performance and cost
- Experience with provisioning servers for on-premises server/compute
- Strong software development skills to design, implement, and iterate on automation solutions
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git. Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in container orchestration and microservices architecture
- Experience with secrets management solutions (AWS Secrets Manager, HashVault)
- Experience with high-frequency deployment environments and release management
- Familiarity with configuration management tools and infrastructure testing
- Strong background in monitoring, alerting, and observability platform design
- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and GPU-accelerated workloads
