VP, Finance and Operations

Looking for an entrepreneurial VP of Finance to build a fast-growing AgriTech startup transforming smallholder farmers lives in India. As a key leader, you'll juggle financial strategy and support operations. Ideal candidates will be mission driven and excited about organizational building.

What you will do

• Strategic Planning & Financial Management: Collaborate with leaders on long-term plans, implement financial planning processes, and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity.
  

• Financial Operations & Compliance: Work with external partners to oversee accounting, reporting, audit, tax and and other compliance requirements.
  

• Business Partnering: Provide financial insights for strategic decision-making, promote cost-saving practices, and develop strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  

• Reporting & External Relations: Present financial performance to senior management and the board, and communicate with donors, investors, and stakeholders.
  

• Manage Support Functions: Mentor and coach HR and MIS/IT teams, oversee HR ops, and work with procurement on contracts, risk management, and cost savings.
  

Ideal persona

Requirements

• A Chartered Accountant (CA) or an MBA with a finance specialization and 7-10 years of relevant experience in finance management and business partnering.
  

• 2+ years experience in working in “more than finance” - this role requires you to wear multiple hats in addition to finance
  

• 3+ years experience in managing and coaching people
