About Amper: Amper is a rapidly growing startup at the intersection of industrial technology and SaaS, helping factories manage operations through IoT software. As we scale towards our next milestones, we are looking for a versatile and diligent Finance & Operations Associate to join our team and support our growth.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Finance & Operations Associate who will play a crucial role in managing our business operations across finance, accounting, and human resources. This individual will be instrumental in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, providing critical support to our team and contributing to our overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Compile and analyze company KPIs for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to Amper’s executive team

  • Assist with the financial planning process for annual budgets and forecast updates

  • Implement financial planning software modules and iterate on the finance tech stack

Accounting:

  • Manage daily financial transactions and bookkeeping activities such as Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

  • Lead the monthly financial close process, including preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders

  • Prepare federal and state tax filings (including sales tax) with support from our outsourced accounting firm

  • Maintain company bank accounts and credit card program

Business Operations:

  • Administer payroll, benefits, and expense reimbursements

  • Run commission reports across the entire Amper team

  • Facilitate employee onboarding and maintain accurate HR records

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in business operations, finance, or a similar role, preferably in a startup environment.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or other accounting software.

  • Basic knowledge of HR practices and compliance.
